Abstract

This article examines the rheological parameters of sandy-clayey filler in tectonic cracks, which determines the stability of landslide slopes. Based on single-plane shear tests of loess-like loams from landslide-prone areas of southern Kyrgyzstan, it was found that their behavior is described by the Bingham-Shvedov theory of viscoplastic flow. The dependence of the strain rate on shear and vertical loads was experimentally determined, and the maximum and minimum plastic viscosity and dynamic yield strength were calculated. The authors conclude that the yield strength increases with increasing vertical pressure, while viscosity decreases significantly with increasing shear stress.
