A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR SIMULATING SOLUTE TRANSPORT PROCESSES IN SOIL

This article addresses issues related to the mathematical modeling of salt transport processes in the soil layers of the aeration zone. The authors justify the need to use integral methods to determine model parameters, in particular, based on data on the average salinity of the flushed layer. The paper presents a method for determining the convective diffusion parameter under steady-state water-salt regime conditions, taking into account the processes of infiltration, evaporation, and transpiration. The developed approach allows for simplifying computational procedures and improving the reliability of salt regime forecasts for irrigated areas by eliminating the difficult-to-determine parameters of salt concentration at the soil surface. The results of the study are of practical significance for hydrological calculations and land reclamation design in agriculture.
