Abstract

This article focuses on the development and refinement of mathematical models describing the kinetics of the diffusion dissolution of metals in underground in-situ leaching (IUL) processes. Based on Fick’s fundamental laws of diffusion, the author proposes refined calculation formulas for determining the extraction time of the target component depending on the geometric parameters of the ore feed (plate, sphere), the effective diffusion coefficient, and the design extraction value. The work includes adjustments to the models for complex leaching conditions, introduces an additional statistical parameter α, and demonstrates the decisive role of the ore’s particle size distribution (piece size) in intensifying the dissolution process. The presented models have been verified using examples from the Tokhtazan and Pustynnoe deposits.
