Abstract

The extraction and processing of solid fossil fuels generates enormous volumes of solid waste, which is currently stored in dumps and waste heaps, causing significant environmental pollution. Many types of this waste are comparable in properties to traditional natural raw materials and can be effectively used in the production of building materials, bricks, and agglomerate, as well as in the metallurgy and chemical industries. Recycling coal mining and beneficiation waste is an important component of the integrated use of natural resources, saving costs on resource development and reducing environmental impacts.
