MODELING OF THE GEOSTRUCTURE AND STABILITY ASSESSMENT OF THE EXPLOSIVE-IMPERFECT DAM OF THE KAMBARATA HPP-2

This paper presents the results of constructing a 3D geological model of the Kambarata Hydroelectric Power Plant-2 blast-fill dam using GOCAD software. Using electrical resistivity tomography and seismic microzonation data, the internal structure of the structure, formed as a result of a unique large-scale blast, was studied, and hydrogeological modeling of filtration processes was conducted. The authors assessed the dam slope stability under various scenarios, establishing that a critical state occurs under seismic loads with peak ground acceleration exceeding 0.3g.
