Abstract

This article presents a method for calculating the recovery time of formation waters after uranium mining using in-situ leaching (ISL). The authors propose a technology for forced "pull" of man-made solutions beyond the boundaries of depleted blocks into waste rock using converted injection wells. The paper presents mathematical formulas for determining the volume of solutions, well productivity, and the final recovery time, and also presents a practical calculation showing that the pull time for a single pull for a real block is approximately 10 days.
