MODELING MINING PROBLEMS USING PLAXIS SOFTWARE
Keywords:
Plaxis, finite element method, soil modeling, stress-strain state, slope stabilityAbstract
This article examines the capabilities of the Plaxis software package for solving geotechnical problems using the finite element method. The author describes the program's history, the specifics of using 6-node and 15-node triangular elements, and analyzes key soil models, including elastic-plastic and viscoplastic variants. The paper emphasizes the effectiveness of Plaxis for slope stability calculations, modeling the stress state of rock masses, and analyzing plastic zones around underground workings.
