Abstract

This article presents a comparative assessment of the business-as-usual and optimistic scenarios for the development of Kyrgyzstan's gold mining industry through 2052. The optimistic scenario assumes the implementation of profound reforms, increased investor confidence, and the development of 12 additional deposits (Togolok, Aktash, and others) deemed unfeasible under the business-as-usual approach. According to the authors' forecasts, implementing this scenario will increase the total volume of marketable output to $38.7 billion, ensuring peak ore production by 2022 and an 18.9% increase in net cash flow.
