Abstract

This article analyzes the prospects for implementing coal-water fuel (CWF) production and combustion technology in Kyrgyzstan as an alternative to expensive gas and fuel oil. The author emphasizes that the republic possesses colossal brown coal reserves (approximately 28.3 billion tons), but its traditional use is hampered by its high tendency to fragment (up to 50% of the output is converted into unused fines) and the environmental damage it causes when burned. Switching to CWF allows this waste to be converted into a highly efficient and safe energy resource.
