Abstract

This article examines the numerical modeling of the stress-strain state and dynamic characteristics of a "high-rise building - complex foundation" system, applied to dense urban development and complex terrain (using Almaty as an example). The authors developed specialized algorithms and finite element calculation models for 200-meter-tall buildings located on heterogeneous soil masses. The paper assesses the accuracy of the finite element method (FEM) by comparing the trace of the initial matrix and the sum of the resulting eigenvalues. The first five dominant frequencies and periods of free vibrations of the system were determined, enabling verification of the model for further studies of the seismic resistance of structures in highly seismic zones of the Northern Tien Shan.
