Abstract

Calculating One-Dimensional Fluid Infiltration on Seismically Hazardous Surfaces. This research article examines the mathematical modeling of one-dimensional fluid infiltration as a key factor activating landslide processes. The authors used parabolic quasilinear differential equations and self-modeling inference methods to describe the dynamics of moisture absorption in a soil-water system. The study yielded analytical derivatives expressed as hypergeometric functions; these formulas allow for the accurate calculation of soil moisture as a function of time and depth. The proposed hydrodynamic classification and computational models have practical implications for predicting the stability of rock surfaces at risk from landslides.
