Abstract

This paper examines the problem of unbounded plane-parallel flow of an ideal incompressible fluid around a symmetric permeable wedge. The authors model the permeable surfaces as discontinuities with specified boundary conditions based on the linear law of filtration and mass conservation. Using methods from the theory of functions of a complex variable and conformal mappings in the plane of the velocity hodograph, a general analytical solution to the problem in parametric form is obtained. The proposed mathematical framework, including the Schwartz formula and integral representations, allows one to determine the velocity field and pressure distribution in the flow region, which is of interest for the design of hydraulic and aerodynamic systems.
