KYRGYZSTAN'S COAL INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN THE NEAR TERM

Abstract

This article analyzes the current state and development prospects of Kyrgyzstan's coal industry amid the deterioration of fixed assets and the loss of sales markets. The author proposes a strategy for overcoming the crisis through the construction of new high-tech facilities, the development of transport infrastructure, and the transition to open-pit mining. Implementation of the proposed investment scenario will enable the republic to achieve complete energy independence through domestic solid fuel production by 2025.
