Abstract

The article examines the operational problems of district heating systems (DHS) under conditions of complex terrain and thermal power shortages. The inefficiency of using traditional water-jet elevators in modern hydraulic regimes is justified. A transition to independent individual heat substations (IHS) with weather-compensated PID control is proposed, which allows for reducing unproductive heat energy losses by 15–18% and improving the hydraulic regime of heating networks.
